Following the success of the Young Apprentice competition in St Mary's Blackburn last year, CUS hosted the Young Apprentice 2013. Ten girls from St Mary's Blackburn flew to Dublin, teamed up with ten CUS transition year students and had less than two hours to create the CUS healthy eating expo. There was frantic selling around the school on a sunny Friday lunchtime. The winners became project managers for day two, where the teams had to create posters, CD covers, t shirts and press releases to present to our prestigious panel of judges. The winners were announced at a celebration dinner in the Regency Hotel. The event was a huge success. Congratulations to all involved. The students worked hard together and did themselves proud. A special thanks to Gerard's Deli, our band with no name Rory, Finn and Philip and of course our judges Rose Duggan, Sarah Flanagan, Niall O Cleirigh and Rory Mc Govern. Well done to our winners Alex King and Nicol Kijas, who were both complimented by the judges for their entrepreneurial and teamwork skills. The judges said they would employ either of them tomorrow!
