Marist Schools Public Speaking Competition.
The Annual Marist Schools Public Speaking Competition took place on Tuesday 24th March in CUS, Leeson Street. All three Marist Schools, Chanel College, St. Mary’s and Catholic University School took part. This year’s motion was ‘Modern Technology has stolen the wonder from teenage life’.
There was an excellent standard of oration which made the adjudicator’s job very difficult! In the end Eoin Murphy from Chanel won first prize, Sean Andrews from C.U.S came second and Judith Evbhorokai from St. Mary’s came in third place.
Thank you to Transition Year students, Liam Coughlan, Gabhan O Tighearnaigh, Andrew Fox and Hugh O Flaherty for adjudicating.
Well done to all involved.
